AutoThrust connects with Sleipner and Vetus proportional rpm-controlled thrusters. The system interfaces directly through pre-assembled NMEA wiring harnesses, with compatibility for additional thruster manufacturers currently in development.

Does AutoThrust require an autopilot to hold heading?

Answer

No. AutoThrust holds boat heading at zero speed without an autopilot. It uses yaw-rate sensor feedback to keep your vessel pointing into the wind or parallel to a dock.

How is the AutoThrust hardware installed on board?

Answer

Installation requires mounting a central controller, a yaw rate sensor and a vertical or horizontal control panel. Pre-assembled wiring connects into the NMEA network, eliminating manual cable splicing.

We supply plug-in NMEA wiring harnesses, yaw-rate sensors, controllers, and vertical or horizontal panels without manual wire splicing.

Can the system automate retractable thrusters?

Yes. AutoThrust monitors boat speed and automatically extracts or retracts hull thrusters. This prevents damage at cruising speed and readies propulsion when entering a slip.
